English proficiency scores by region

Europe occupies most of the high end of the EF index, while Singapore and South Africa stand out as the strongest non-European performers.

Without hover: the Netherlands leads at 636, 26 points ahead of Norway and 27 ahead of Singapore.

Regional pattern: Europe is the only region with a median score above 550; the Middle East & North Africa has the lowest regional median in this table.
