Brazil still leads, but Vietnam changed the race.
Among the three countries selected in the Our World in Data view, Vietnam rose from 4,100 tonnes in 1961 to 2.0 million tonnes in 2024, passing Colombia in 1999 and becoming the clear second producer.
In 2024, Brazil produced 3.4 million tonnes of green coffee, Vietnam produced 2.0 million tonnes, and Colombia produced 0.8 million tonnes. Vietnam first exceeded Colombia in 1999.
