MakeoverMonday is a social data project: “Each week we post a link to a chart, and its data, and then you rework the chart. Maybe you retell the story more effectively, or find a new story in the data. We’re curious to see the different approaches you all take. Starting from Jan 08, 2018, I decided to put aside one hour on Monday weekly to create some visualization and find some insights from the data.

This week’s topic is Volcano Eruption. It tells where are the volcanoes and when did they last eruppted. You can find the original viz here. It looks very fancy.. But somehow not very intuitive to understand.

Insights
- Regions with most volcanoes are not those with most active volcanoes - which is a good news?;
- As we probably all know, most of the volcanoes located along the coast or between two continent plates;
- Asian and Pacific Regions have seen most recently eruppted colvanoes.
