MakeoverMonday is a social data project: “Each week we post a link to a chart, and its data, and then you rework the chart. Starting from Jan 08, 2018, I decided to put aside one hour on Monday weekly to create some visualization and find some insights from the data.

This week’s data is about the player performance at Arsenal FC’s 2018/19 season. But sadly I barely know anything about Arsenal (though I do know it’s a famous soccer club…). So what I ended up doing is just picking the metrics I can understand and visualize them in grids. The original dataset can be found here.

I tried to match the color schema with the soccer field color :)

Insights

• Those who played longest time do not neccessariy to be the top players regarding the metrics selected…
• Also, not surprising, there is no player good at all skills.
