Notable 2022 U.S. Tech Layoffs
The tech job market has been rough recently. We’ve seen more and more layoffs in last few months, and almost daily last week. News like Twitter laid off 50% of its workforce is really crazy. According to layoffs.fyi, there have been 700+ layoffs this year, with over 104k employees laid off. This week, I found a list of notable US tech layoffs in 2022 on Crunchbase and made a visualization.
My Visualization
This visualization is a bubble chart, showing layoffs by industries over time. Sizes of the bubbles indicate the size of the layoff.
