US Employment Occupation Distribution

Today I saw this news stating that immigrants are now a record share of U.S. workers – in 2022, immigrants account for 18.1% of the employed population. Then I found the original newsletter by BLS. It has lots of interesting data points regarding foreign-born v.s. native-born workforce, and is a perfect candidate for my visualization this week :).

My Visualization

The data I chose to visualize this week is the occupation distribution of employed foreign born persons vs. naative born persons. The percentage should add up to 100% for foreign born and native born respectively. I used a gantt chart + circles to show the occupation distributon of these two population easily.
