French People’s Confidence in Paris Olympics
It has bee a while since I last checked out makeovermonday. Therefore, this week I decided to visualize the dataset they provided – French people are losing confidence in the Paris Olympics. It shows how much French’s opinion to 2024 Paris Olympics has changed from Dec 2020 to July 2023.
My Visualization
This visualization again uses gantt plot and scatter plot with different shapes to present the movement of French’s opinions.
Please notice that all the visualizations are designed for desktop view, so it is recommended to view them on a desktop device.
Insights
- We see lower confidence in all the categories comparing Dec 2020 to Jul 2023;
- French people have lost confidence more in ecomony related benefits including Employment and Economic Activity (both -19%) more than other categories;
- Older survey respondents (50+ years old) seem to have lower confidence than younger generations.
