Wage Growth by Job Stayer vs. Switcher

This week, I came across the wage growth tracker from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. It shows the three-month moving average of median wage growth, by interesting segments like gender, degree, full-time or not, and job stayer or switcher. I have always heard from people that changing jobs is the way to go to get higher pay. Therefore, I decided to make a visualization of wage growth trend by job stayers vs. job switchers.

My Visualization

This visualization plots the wage growth rate by job stayer and job switcher in two line charts. I also added a layer of gantt chart to colorize the gap between the two lines.

Please notice that all the visualizations are designed for desktop view, so it is recommended to view them on a desktop device.
