To celeborate the AANHPI Heritage Month, the dataset I am visualizing this week is the Asian American demographics data, including population, median household income, and % with at least a bachelor’s degree. The data comes from USA Facts.

Insights

  • Asian American accounts for 7.7% of the total US population, and Chinese, Asian Indian, and Filipino are the three largest Asian ethnicities;
  • Most of the Asian ethnicity groups have higher median household income than the US overall, and there seems to be a high correlation between median household income and education level.
