Holiday season is approaching! As I am planning for my holiday trip, I am wondering how much do American usually spend for holiday? After some research, I found this Holiday outlook 2025 report published by pwc, which shows how much different generation plans to spend for holiday. Let’s visualize it this week!

Insights
- Generally speaking, Americans plan to spend ~$1500 for the upcoming 2025 holiday season.
- However, we see great discrepancy between generations – Baby Boomers (who are 60-78 years old right now) plan to spend the least compared to other generations, while the Millennials (28-43 years old) plan to spend the most (>$2000). This corresponds with their ages.
