Food Delivery Prices

Since I joined DoorDash, I have been more interested in the food delivery service industry. I also use DoorDash, UberEats and Grubhub as a user myself every month. Therefore, this visualization on the most affordable food-delivery service by state is very interesting to do and I decided to make my own version of it.

Insights

• Here the food service price is measured by the total prices of a set list of menu items from Subway, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, KFC, Popeyes, Burger King and Taco Bell on Uber Eats, Grubhub and DoorDash in the top five largest cities in each state;
• Grubhub appears to be the most affordable food delivery app as it has the lowest price in 24 states;
• In the two states with the highest overall food delivery prices, California and Washington, DoorDash has the lowest prices compared to the other two.
